Jon A. Gilmore, P.E.

President and CEO

With over 35 years of experience, Jon has worked on commercial and non-profit projects of all sizes and complexities, including major medical centers, university additions, and manufacturing headquarters. An experienced design engineer, project manager and owner’s representative, Jon has overseen Tonn and Blank’s growth into one of the Midwest’s most vital and sought-after firms spearheading more than $2.5 billion in projects.

With an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a bachelors in civil engineering from Purdue University, Jon led Tonn and Blank as they won five Project of the Year awards from the Construction Advancement Foundation and twice as Contractor of the Year.

Eric Wise

Vice President – Central Indiana Region

For over a decade, Eric Wise was our Director of Safety and Quality, ensuring that safety and quality are the cornerstones of everything we do. Policies, procedures, training, and inspections are components of what we do but fostering a culture of safety and quality beyond compliance is what we do. Recently, he has been promoted to Vice President of our Central Indiana location.

Eric’s favorite thing about working at Tonn and Blank is our commitment to our customers, subcontractors, and our employees.

Outside of work he enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. He loves to go to sporting events (his son’s baseball, basketball, and football); the Cincinnati Reds, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, and Cincinnati Bengals are his favorite teams. He also loves hunting and shooting sports and has a reputation for being an amazing cook on the smoker!

Matt Weller

Vice President of Western Indiana Region

As VP of Western of Western Indiana Region, Matt oversees operations that align with company processes, from helping develop business opportunities, preconstruction, project management, and field operations.

The thing Matt likes the most about working at Tonn and Blank is our flexibility to offer solutions for clients through real estate, program management, in-house design, construction management, self-performance, and off-site construction.

In his spare time, Matt loves spending time with his family and watching his son play baseball.

Dave manages Tonn and Blank Construction’s Northeast Indiana Office. Dave also serves as the project manager during both design and construction for Northeast Indiana projects. From superintendent to project manager to Vice President, Dave has been involved with more than $300 million dollars of construction. He is a demonstrated leader with an excellent track record of delivering projects that exceed the performance criteria for cost, schedule and quality. He enjoys traveling with his family and discovering new breweries and distilleries.

Robbie holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois and is a licensed architect in both Illinois and Indiana. In his 25 years of experience, Robbie has led various design-build projects in healthcare, higher education, mixed-use, multi-family and recycling and waste industry markets.

As a former athlete (track and basketball), he leads our Design Services department with a team-orientated approach. Born and raised in East Chicago, Robbie married his high school sweetheart, and together they have three children.

Ken Catellier, CCIM

Vice President of Real Estate

As VP of Real Estate, Ken helps to align real estate with the Sister of St. Francis Healthcare Mission. He advises and advocates for Sisters of St. Francis in all of their real estate transactions by coordinating with Franciscan Legal and Franciscan Risk Management. In his spare time, Ken likes to hang out with his four dogs and learn to play the ukulele. He also enjoys swimming and still competes in swim meets and open water swims.

Roger Knaggs

 As the VP of Program Management, Roger’s primary role is to lead and mentor the Program Management team as we work to assist our healthcare clients with achieving their strategic objectives in concert with their facility renewal and development needs.

Roger’s favorite thing about working at Tonn and Blank is working collaboratively with our internal team resources, our outside consultants, and our clients to find optimal facility solutions to complex operational challenges and growth needs.

He enjoys spending his time traveling to see friends and family, open road cycling, and sailing.

Gary is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. As Vice President of Finance, Gary plays a pivotal role in managing the financial operations and strategic planning that drive our organization’s success.

“I really appreciate the people that I work with and the overall positive atmosphere at Tonn and Blank. Serving a greater purpose beyond construction by giving back to the communities we work in is very fulfilling to be a part of.”

As a parent to three boys, age 24, 18, and 13, Gary and his wife spend most of their time following their sporting activities. They enjoy travelling to different fishing destinations and spending time on the boat. Fun fact – Gary has completed three Ironman Distance Triathlons.

Jake has been a part of the Tonn and Blank safety team for over two decades. He was recently promoted to the Director of Safety, which means he will continue to spearhead safety initiatives to keep our teams safe, but he will be focused on the bigger picture.

Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and children. When he’s not working, he loves fishing and cooking – he’s getting every penny out of his Blackstone grill.

Andrew Stetler, AWS, CWI, NFPA, CFPE, CFI-1 MS CMT

Director of Quality

Andrew is a quality manager so he tends to look at things through a different lens. He has his AWS Certified Welding Inspector and Certified Radiographic Interpreter qualifications, ISO 9001 lead auditor, NFPA CFI and CFPE and many other accomplishments and certifications. He has been in construction and quality management for almost 23 years and mainly on our hospital and laboratory projects.

Andrew is a family man with a lovely wife of 24 years, 3 children, and 2 grandchildren.  Family is the most important thing to Andrew. He and his family like to camp, hike, fish, and play all sorts of games.

He is a huge Purdue fan. His wife is a Purdue Alumni as are many of his family members. He has recently completed his Masters in Building Construction Management with a graduate certificate in Lean Six Sigma.

As the Director of Field Operations, Jeff collaborates with the Preconstruction and Construction teams to fully understand the status of daily operations, general knowledge of project and team statuses,  and identifying and troubleshooting obstacles.

Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and new grandson. In his spare time, he is an avid hunter and takes trips to Michigan for snowmobiling.

As the Director of Continuous Improvement, April’s focus is on delivering unmatched value to our clients by instilling a culture of continuous improvement throughout our organization. With a passion for innovation, she collaborates with leadership and employees across the organization to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement while leveraging Lean methodology to streamline processes and eliminate waste.

“By harnessing the collective expertise of our workforce, we drive meaningful change resulting in efficient projects, reduced costs, and delivery that exceeds client expectations. Our employees are well-positioned to ensure that Tonn and Blank remains at the forefront of our industry” April stated.

She loves spending time with her family, but her “me time” consists of gardening and hiking national parks. Being outdoors and breathing in the fresh air helps her unwind, and brings her closer to God.

Jessica Taylor

Senior Real Estate Manager

As Senior Real Estate Manager, Jessica’s role focuses on the operations of non-hospital locations. She works with landlords to make sure that all of the Medical Office Buildings are being maintained as best as possible.

Jessica’s favorite thing about working at Tonn and Blank is that everyone is willing to answer any question and help you out. It is a very collaborative environment and if someone doesn’t have the answer, they are willing to help you find it.

In her free time, Jessica teaches dance a couple nights a week during the school year. Part of this includes choreographing dances for shows throughout the year. Throughout college and post-college, her choreography has been selected to compete in several competitions and earlier this year one of her pieces won first place!

As a Senior Program Manager, Tim works with Franciscan Health leadership and stakeholders to align the needs of the organization with practical program solutions. He then guides these solutions from concept to closeout, to assure the end result meets all of the program requirements.

Tim enjoys the atmosphere of continual improvement at Tonn and Blank and loves taking on the challenges that we are always eager to tackle.

Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and sons, traveling, and exploring. He also enjoys working with his hands. Tim always has a few projects he is working on at home.

Dene is pleased to be a member of the Program Management team where her focus is all things Interior Design.  Whether she is working with various interior design professionals or executing project needs on her own, her focus is to manage expectations and budgets for facility designs, standards, furniture, linens, artwork and signage for our projects.

Dene’s favorite thing about working at Tonn and Blank is seeing a vision of so many come to reality.  She loves working on large projects because it’s satisfying to know that our team has enhanced the places people work, play, heal and live.  No day is alike, and she says she is never bored!

She has been married 35 years to the love of her life David, has a daughter in college, loves spending time with friends, and she is always up for a good adventure.

Jen has been working with Tonn and Blank for 18 years as an Electrical Engineer, MEP Coordinator, and Virtual Construction Coordinator. She loves the everyday challenges and experiences that come with working at Tonn and Blank. There have been multiple large jobs Jen has been able to work on.

“There’s nothing more rewarding than investing your time and energy into a project that enhances lives and the community,” Jennifer stated.

In her free time, she enjoys lifting weights, playing PC games, tennis, and finding new fragrances.

Maggie Tortolano

As the Senior Program Manager, Maggie develops capital budgets, leads the design process, and represents the client during the projects. She also coordinates work with consultants and facilitate staff participation and support.

“Developing relationships with hospital leaders, users, support staff, and outside consultants is vital in order to gain their trust and work as a team. Working as a TEAM is key to a successful project!” Maggie stated.

Maggie’s favorite thing about working at Tonn and Blank are the people and the challenges encountered on a daily basis that she has an opportunity to learn from.

In her spare time, Maggie loves spending time with her family, traveling, everything Disney related (Goofy is her favorite), cheering on her son as he plays sports, watching the Chicago Bear and Bulls, and she loves baking!

As a Senior Program Manager, Martin carries the responsibility for the entire project package. This includes managing the teams, budget, schedule, and FF&E.

“I am honored to lead the design and construction to build hospitals for a Godly-based institution,” Martin stated.

Martin loves spending time with his family at his homes in southern Indiana and in Switzerland. He also enjoys hiking in the mountains and relaxing on the beach.

Leasing Manager

As Leasing Manager at Tonn and Blank Construction, Donna provides leasing oversight to the medical office portfolio with over 2 million square feet, and approximately 90 buildings located in Central, Western, Northern Indiana and south suburban Chicago. She works closely with VP of Real Estate as well as regional Franciscan healthcare leadership teams, she assists with leasing and lease administration needs across the Corporation which includes negotiations for Franciscan leased space plus third-party tenants and regional real estate systems. She is a licensed real estate broker in Indiana.

As an architect, Amanda works closely with the client to pinpoint exactly what they are looking for, and leads the design process of creating functional spaces, from concept to full realization.

Cathy has been an integral part of our Design + Engineering department for over 30 years.  She assists our team of architects and engineers in putting together proposals, construction documents, drawings and more. This department has run like a well-oiled machine thanks to Cathy’s due diligence.

Megan is always finding new ways to help Tonn and Blank; whether it’s benefits administration, recruitment efforts, or employee relations, her role is to focus on Tonn and Blank’s greatest assets, the employees.

Her favorite part about working for Tonn and Blank is seeing the hospitals we build and knowing she played a small part in providing healthcare to those in our community. She is constantly astounded by what our field employees can build.

Her ability to understand the company’s target audience, identify market trends, and leverage digital platforms has helped her deliver results.

As an avid adventure-seeker, you can find her immersing herself in Lake Michigan or exploring local venues for live music when she’s off the clock.
